Pet Owner's No-No's

  • Never give Tylenol, Aspirin or Ibuprofen to your pet. While aspirin has in the past been used as an anti-inflammatory in dogs, there are newer and safer medications available. Also, these drugs can be fatal if used in cats, even in small amounts.

  • Never administer any over the counter medication before first checking with the doctor.

  • Feeding bones or rich meats and gravies to your dog can cause obstruction, pancreatitis, vomiting or diarrhea.

  • Always quarantine any stray or newly acquired pet before introducing them to other family pets and until veterinary examination is complete.

  • Never leave a puppy unattended in your house or yard (fenced or unfenced) there are many dangers lurking. We prefer crating your puppy while you are away.

  • Never travel with your Rottweiler unrestrained. In the event of an accident, many rescue personnel are afraid of them, and your dog could be injured or even killed. He may also escape if you are incapacitated.

  • Never leave home with your dog unless he/she is permanently identified. This ensures easy return in the event the unimaginable occurs. We recommend and provide for our puppies, AVID microchips.
